EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. - December 16, 2008 - igus® Inc. has published a new 2009 catalog for its bearing products, including iglide® plain bearings, igubal® spherical bearings and DryLin® linear guides and slide tables. The updated plastic bearings bible features a new introductory section, application examples and revamped product sections.
The new catalog's introductory pages highlight nearly 25 individual application examples from industries such as agricultural, medical and automotive. Information on how plastic bearings offer longer life at lower costs is also available in this section.
The company's 9,000 parts, extending across three product lines, are indexed so they can be located quickly and easily. "Quicklinks" leading to 3D CAD data, configurations and .PDF downloads on igus' website can also be found.
New products added to the catalog include DryLin Easy Tube-a new, maintenance-free linear unit for format adjustments -and new plastic ball bearings. iglide xiros bearings are lubrication-free and consist of four components: an outer ring, an inner ring, a cage, and a choice of stainless steel or glass balls.
The new catalog also boasts a completely overhauled section on the company's Drylin linear guides and slide tables including additional sizes, shafting in metric units and an entirely new drive engineering section.
All of igus' plastic bearings and linear units are lubrication-free and maintenance-free. They are designed to deliver longer life at a lower cost without sacrificing product quality.
